So, what did you do RC today?

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

Designed this thing without having the original part on hand. Any guesses what it is?

Battery cover for 2pd and 3pb, nicely done!
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Damn that was quick! Right on target! Hopefully I got the fitment right we'll see when it's done printing. I'm sure I'll have to adjust some things.

The plan was to work on a DS while working on a FR01, but UPS has decided I don't need that DS quite yet. So, pulled out the Hanger On that I started a couple of weeks ago and finished it up, then took it apart, then finished it up, and took it apart again, then finished it up ...................... until I need to take it apart to paint it. :D

It does the thing:

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Built the Dirtmaster. Feels like a really solid car. Just need to paint up a body and give it a shakedown run.

Today I finished assembling my Kyosho DirtMaster - well, the chassis anyway. I'll get around to painting the body and wing some day.

I also finished this cad model:

Dirt Master1.jpg
Dirt Master3.jpg

It's pointless, I know, but I enjoy making digital models of my RC's.

BTW, "Dirt Master" is a rather common name, Google it and you'll find everything from a cleaning company in Orlando to this compact towable backhoe.

IIRC, I once had a little shop vac called the Dirt Master.

Great work on the model! Now if only we could get VRC Pro to actually put 2wd buggies in the damn sim this would fit right in there!

Got the DS done for now. Got into the build so quick I didn't really think about electronics and such, so yea, need to figure all that out.

I installed the ball raced steering kit on one of my Cougars. At the same time, I installed the Factory Works steering rack, which was the only item Jeff makes for the Cougar that it didn't already have.

I used my new caliper to make sure every turnbuckle on every one of my buggies was perfectly set to manual specs. No more eyeballing with a ruler. :D

I discovered, quite by accident, that there is a banked dirt oval track in a city park less than 30 minutes from my house. :D In related news, I started work on my KF2 to convert it to run dirt oval.

I wanted something compact and robust that I could just run without much care. These caught my eye so couldn’t resist

Now I look forward to running it

Good choice. Arrma units are tough and most importantly, not Traxxass. It's nice to run and beat on something without a lot of worry if parts break, reason why I have the Typhon 6s.
