RCCA carbon chassis RC10 build
I built this RC 10 in the early 90’s while I was working at RC Car Action mag. Dig it out the other day. Had Tekin 410k esc. Carbon fiber tub chassis. Anodized old style shock bodies from Associated. Reedy motor. Did an article about it but don’t have the issues around.

Re: RCCA carbon chassis RC10 build
Welcome, and fantastic car!!!
What issues do you think the article(s) would have been in? Most here have the old mags digitally.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

I'm kinda star-struck right now! I must have read a ton of your articles back in the day.
Super cool RC10, hope to be a spectator of its resurrection.

I started 91 I believe, till 93-4.
Yes it was the fusion speed chassis! The bottom is covered with a Teflon plastic film.

So it was the July 1991 issue. Same body as used in the photos.
I remember we had a Massami car in the office and I traced the logo on the roof of his car.

Very cool price of history there! Looks like it went through some changes from the mag article as well, first I noticed was the 410k instead of the 411p used in the mag.
Thank you so much for posting it up

Those rear shock caps look like they are hard ano and match the shock bodies. The DA graphite battery brace is really unique, and I think that's the first time that I have seen one. Thanks for sharing a piece of RC history.

Cool to have an OG RCCA writer on board. Great piece of history there. A sympathetic restore and race it at Vonats seems like logical conclusion for it.
