I'm rebuilding a couple of LRM transmissions and wanted to ask what mods are available to make them a little more reliable?
I have heard there is a better centre ball diff arrangement but have little info on it.
Can anyone recommend the parts...

Roger that's a great idea.. I used an old tamiya bearing (frog small bearing) for a spacer for my b4 slipper to stop the binding and that works great but it doesn't support the shaft.. the flanged bearing would solve this.. looks like time to take...
Where most guys are running the t/b4 input shaft and slipper with the 2.25 stealth, I want to go the other way. My shortcourse is getting an sc10 transmission but I really don't care for the slipper. I run mine pretty much locked anyway so that's...

if you run the slipper pretty much locked, shouldnt be an issue. Maybe use a Losi inner hub (ever so slightly larger)?
I just picked up an early 10T on Ebay (impulse buy) that has no transmission. A quick look around seems to indicate that a stealth transmission sells for approximately 2x what I paid for the truck, so in the name of cheapness, I want to explore...

This must have come to light due to related threads
Perhaps. I did see the other day that there's somebody retrofitting a B5M trans into a flat pan chassis. I'd hoped to be the first to retro a B5M trans into something, but I'm way too busy with...
I'm building a Bullet from the ground up and was lucky enough to source almost everything minus the transmission cases. I bought perhaps the roughest Bullet ever from eBay as a guide(im still itchy from cleaning it) for this and the cases are just...

I definitely plan to keep this one going klavy69, at least for a few runs before the eventual shelf.
I have a few other projects going at the same time as well. My thinking is while restoring one and I come to a parts snag, I move it aside and and...
I have been trying to absorb as much as I can and relearn some things of the past. During my search, I have developed some more questions that I hope that you will indulge me on regarding the RC10 transmission.
First, there is the original stock...

Excellent point, Joe.
If you have an original Stealth, it uses a 45 tooth diff gear, a 20 tooth top gear so it's 2.25:1 ratio.
I found a NOS 81 tooth in my box and picked this up...
I also have an 87 and 90 for the RC10T but what other options are out there for the original stealth setup? Will the TC3 stuff work? Seems like a lot of options...
Like this for example?...

Any of the gears from the kimbrough gears from their website would work if your running the original slipper...
Any of the gears from the kimbrough site for B4 style dual pad slipper clutch...
I wanted to inquire, if running the RPM Stealth case what are the motor plate options beside stock stealth? Has anyone modded any other motorplates to work with this tranny?
Any help and thought are appreciated.
Thank you

If it goes to a stealth it willork on rpm tranny too.DON
Anyone try a modern 17.5 brushless in a older 2.25 stealth transmission. I would be really curious to know how it went. It should be a lot easier to gear because of the lower transmission ratio. Please let me know if you have done this, how it felt...

What about rotating mass since both the diff gear and the motor pinion are going to be smaller for the 2.25 stealth?
