- TQ10 resto -
I recently won this auction:
http://cgi.befr.ebay.be/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&item=110049752437&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
it seems to be in very good shape, unlike the body , but anyway you can still buy a new Sidewinder body, but more difficult to find a new TQ10

does anyone know if the original motor plate was black the rear chassis plate is unfortunately missing, but most of the graphite chassis seem to lack them and a NIP one is not very common and once it appears prices are going crazy... I'll try to do one by myself with an old chassis...

cleaning
Your latest restoration is looking great as usual. I have a couple of qeustions though. How did you clean the white parts? and what product did you use to whiten them? e.g. what brands? Cheers for any help.

Re: cleaning
Firstly, I washed them with a toothbrush and dishwash soap, then I let them soak for 1 hour in a chlorine solution (Javel water) slightly diluted with water. Well it helps to whiten them, but the parts were already in great shape and there was no oil or grease stains at all, so it was quite an easy job.Dr. Robotnik wrote:Your latest restoration is looking great as usual. Since I sold a gold tub without body, I now have a spare sidewinder body already painted that would perfectly fit this one

Re: TQ10
A little update for this one too as I've just found brand new original rims and tires for it. If only I could snag a NIP TQ10 chassis, but I'll keep that for my dreams at night

Re: TQ10 (updated)
I snagged this TQ10 a long time ago and never posted it. It's a second gen. one, with wide front arms! All white parts have unfortunately been dyed black, but it's all original and in awesome shape, it also came with original box, a hacked unpainted Sidewinder body, all instruction manuals, decals, vintage radio, Trinity motor and a like new Novak T-4. I actually bought it just for the chassis, manual and box, so I'll tear it down, clean everything, replace my lightly scratched chassis with this one, rebuild the other one with black parts and most probably re-list the latter...
