Your Favorite R/C Part

Post by Dangeruss »

It would appear rarity and value conflict with one another like the Hatfield's and the Mcoy's, oil and water, Tom Sawyer and the kid he tricked into painting the fence...

So instead of rarest or most valuable... of all your R/C parts, which one is your favorite?

For me, Losi Hydra-Drive. Simple, effective, really a smartly designed bit of kit. A lot of parts are cool but that one I've always found the most appealing.

...second would be any gull-wing suspension arm... does it make sense, nope. Does it have to, nope.

That is a good one. Who knew an electric motor could benefit from a torque converter?

I don't have a single favorite part. I would say it is a 500 way tie between all of the parts that make up a Top Cat.

😂is there actually 500 parts in a topcat?
Would have to be another Schumacher part for me though- the ball diff- man did that change rc

And yeh the lay down shocks on the topcat are cool to look at-but man they sucked to drive bitd

Would also have to mention yokomo wheel adaptors for any buggy as all buggies looked better with pink yoko wheels on them.

Hard to pick just one since I have several. One would be the Thorp 48P 6-gear set.

I bought a Lucas Arts Agitator on eBay that oddly came with a staggered pair of Sees wheels on the driver's side, but white plastic wheels on the passenger side. While these certainly aren't super rare, it was a time-consuming hassle to track down a full NIP set from a "friend of a friend of a friend" contact suggested by someone on this forum, to be able to complete the car's wheel set.

I deanodized the dull gold centers and polished everything up. Even though the car project isn't finished, I still admire the wheels sometimes when I pass the display cabinet. :)
