I really like this setup. It does look extremely fragile with only one bolt holding the rear suspension together. I probably wouldn't drive this if I had it. Fantastic work!! I can't wait to see the finished product..hurry and get more parts.

I bought the trailing arms new back in the day and saw it sitting next to the graphite chassis, and thought, I could totally put another car together.
the setup has taken a good amount of abuse already, and surprisingly, it still looks in pretty good shape. except for the danmed dye. OK, I was a kid and thought a little color couldn't hurt.
I am going to need help with the rest of the resto, if any of you guys can help out, please don't hesitate to pm me.

opted for a hot shot motor plate, rpm bulkhead worlds tower, stealth....

I'm digg'n the countersunk washers and colored plastic parts. It's got that really tricked out racer look to it. I like it !

The only colored parts are the mip trailing arms, they're fiberglass, I think I'll re-dye them to strengthen the red.
I wish I had left them clear. But, NOOOO, I had to go and dye them.
I'm planning on making this little guy a runner.
what contemporary rims can I use, to race in, don't want to kill the new three piece wheels with the worlds prolines.

I can attest that the bolt arm mounts break with fair regulairity and once it does, it's next to impossible to find a replacement. Of course the choice is yours but I wouldn't run them.

I don't think there are any graphite chassis wide enough where you can bolt the MIP suspension without using the fiberglass piece that cam with the kit. I wound up making my own chassis.vintagerctech wrote:I am looking for a new graphite chassis, any recomendations? can I buy it?

The nuttier the better I originally intended to put the standard front suspension on the car, but I had some extra parts that I didn't know what ot do with. just curious--what is the modern--"hobbyist" method (no garage machine shop) to cut the slot in the chassis as shown in the directions here...?
