why not just have a section listed as museum and then just add treads were people can add there pics like an andy's thread were people can post pics of just there andy's stuff builds bodies and any other andy's products just make sure to ask people not to post questions in those sections also a stock thread ,and an a&l , mip. Just by using the different threads as seperate sections I feel that might work. you just need a section in the board index listed as museum and you can organize it with seperate threads for each companyscr8p wrote:a couple years ago, we did try to start an rc10talk museum using a coppermine photo gallery. but, it was far from user friendly, and pretty much a complete pain in the you know what. so, we just ditched it.

Re: The Andy's Family................
Yea thats what i was thinking. Just a section for pic. Not so much a Gallery . But just a from for Pic. May be you could set it up so you could just start a topic and not post in the topic that user started.

Re: The Andy's Family................
as i stated earlier in this thread, due to my health problems over the last year and a half or so, i had to unload alot of my stuff. including all of my andy's builds from page 1. well, today i ran to the hobby shop to pick some things up for a couple members, and stumbled across another andy's/s&k pro graphite chassis (nip). of course, i couldn't just leave it there.
so, i'm gonna try to get one of these together again to replace one that i unfortunately had to let go.

Re: The Andy's Family................
Only thing you can still pick up that is slightly similar to Andy's products are the RPM front and rear A-arms for the RC10. Those should be available either through RPM or Tower.com. Otherwise everything else is hit and miss at your local brick and mortar RC shop. Since Andy's parts were/are highly sought after I'd think any old inventory would be close to long gone.

Re: The Andy's Family................
hi JPAE07,
Thanks, ive been seing RPM for RC10 here and highly discussed, i just wonder does the length of the RPM for RC10 same as the one made by Klein or the RC10 Worlds? i'm planning to change my RC10 Team Car to accommodate B44/B4 CVD for easy adaptation of newer RIMS (2.2) but just wondering the correct ARMS and HUBS that goes with it.
Thanks again.

Re: The Andy's Family................
The length of the RPM arms are the same as the AE standard A-arms rear / AE wide Arms front. The RPM arms are not "Worlds" lengths, like the Klein replacements. The RPM world arms are no longer available, hence the Klein replacement. The RPMs (standard length) will work with 2.2 (newer) B2/B3 style wheels no problem.slow_jun wrote:hi JPAE07,

For this conversion you would need:
MIP Shiny CVD Kit RC10B2

Sealed Bearings 3/16x3/8 non flanged

Wheels:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFFG4
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFFG5
The front wheels you can use the standard Duratrax BX evader versions
Note: you do not need to change rear hub carriers for this conversion. Just bearings listed above.
To clarify you don't need B44 cvds to run the newer wheels unless you specifically want to use the Klein A-arms with B4 wheels out back. The Klein A-arms up front are wider though as well. This means you will need a truck front nose plate and bulkhead. Not super easy parts to find. In addition, you'll nee B4 parts there too.
Here is the standard formula from AEIOUs build thread (see below):
Rear
• Dynotech Klein rear arms (RPM worlds arm replica)
• 3 degree Andy’s arm mounts
• RPM RC10GT hub carriers
• 3/16” X 1/2" Avid bearings
• B44 rear CVA kit
• B4 rear axle spacers
• 3/16” axle shims (I forget how many on each side)
• B4 rear wheels
Front
• Dynotech Klein front arms (RPM worlds arm replica)
• RC10T front nose plate and bulkhead
• RC10T2 front shock tower
• B4 caster blocks (drilled to accept 1/8” hinge pins)
• B4 steering blocks
• B4 kingpins
• B4 front axles
• B4 front wheels

Hope this helps.

Re: The Andy's Family................
Whatever happened to this collection?
Did you finish any of them?
I know you sold one or two a while back.

Re: The Andy's Family................
i never got to finish any of the ones on page one. when i got sick a couple years ago, they had to be sold. 2 members took all five. 3 to one, 2 to the other.
i still have a nip pro graphite chassis that will get built one day. i still have to get quite a bit of the andy's/s&k chassis parts for it. but i do have a new built mip sp1, a nip s&k ironman stock motor, and 6 nip s&k 1400 scr match cells for it.
still up in the air if i want to make it an a-arm car or a trailing arm car.

Re: The Andy's Family................
Update...
Sometime last year I think, I sold off my pro graphite chassis and related parts figuring i'd never get it built. Well, when roger posted up the molded pro race parts lot up in the bst I couldn't resist...... though I tried.
So I'm gonna try finishing off one of these cars again.
Unfortunately, I'm going to have a nice long hunt on my hands for new pro race front arms, but the rest of what I need that is Andy's specific is easily found thanks to Paul. I still have a couple things in my stash yet. I thought I still had the s&k ironman motor nip but I mustv have sold that too. Ah well, i'll find another one.

Good luck on the build. I'm glad to see that it went to an RC10 enthusiast.
