Schumacher CAT XLS resto

Post by phoenix »

Hi all,

this is one of the other resto's i was able to complete this month. Thank you for all the great scans on the CAT (remember the design?) and hints on diffs. The color combo is that flashy i nearly wasn't able to capture it properly. Also thanks to bormac for the chassis and to Keith from Kamtec for supplying me with a proto body. I am still looking for schumacher decals, black wheels and shock hardware (seals etc...), PM's always appreciated.

Looks nice, very retro.

The old 'Schumacher' decal is being reproduced as we speak by a friend just hold on there

Whats Keiths repro body like, does it come with the spoiler? I couldn't see it list in his e pay shop or am I missing something?

Lovely car! I think the Kamtec repro looks great! I have one of the Schumacher re-run shells and yours looks every bit a good :D

For decals, speak to Jimmy Storey of oOple, he repros the decals.

Hi Jimbo, the bodies are not yet for sale, Keith offered me this one as aprototype for testing & review. Quality is superb.

BTW: i can recommend the reedy 3600 wolfpacks, as they are quite small in diameter and fit the schumacher battery trays etc...

Grrrrrr :) But i diasassembled it and replaced all the plastic parts with new ones :) And i put in new diffs and such, and wide track and a quicksilver motor and.... - whatever! Thanks again for supplying me with this great chassis! I have some new bodies and another cat prepared and will post some more pics in the near future.
