Thanks. I built it as a runner but it turned out so nice, I just can't scratch it up.shodog wrote:great job on that frog. This is what Tamiya should have done when the re-re'd the frog
The body is a Blitzer body with Tamiya Club decals (Too much $$$, I later found Tamiya decal scans on eBay for $7 on a CD with about 50 scans, Oh well!), The frog is a XB RTR with some vintage front shocks, nerf bars and rear bumper.
I have since put the body, wheels and all the vintage parts on a (red) Blackfoot chassis with orig transmission and drive train. Now it's a gently run car. The XB Frog is back to original and is now the basher.
So now my project should be called the Blitzed Blackened Scorched Frog.

Re: STRANGE TAMIYA PROJECT the Scorched Sand Frog
I used the original Frog body mounts and extended them, all with cut and drilled body posts from my AX10. The original side holes on the Blitzer body mount it very high, so I made new holes to mount the body lower on the chassis. If you still want, I can get you some pictures later. Cool car to do on the cheap. There are many cheap Frogs to be had.bearrickster wrote:I know this is old but, how about a pick of the body mounts I am building one .
