the score

Post by knucklebuster »

Another crappy Ebay pic nets a great auction. None of the items shown were listed in the auction except the esc.

I yanked all the parts from the Team car and added the Stealth to the CE. That leaves me with a six gear and everything for yet another build-up. Hmmm...

most notable IMO are the new speed control with all components, wing things, knock-offs, hydra-drives, pinions, full set of titanium turnbuckles (two sets including those on the Team car), dog bones and tons of AM crystals.

A,B chassis, extra nose. The A chassis is drilled for a Stealth. The other B chassis with yellow nose and MIP steering are from the stripped Team car.

the xxt with titanium turnbuckles and full bearings. The truck is another first for me. The bins are two-sided and full. The bag holds tons of xxt extras and many are new on the tree. I told myself I would sell it, but...

That minty yellow steering was A&L. You weren't cool unless you had an A&L steering kit. ;)

i seriously thought they were composite craft...

now it makes sense that the composite craft steering kits i've seen listed on ebay didnt look at all like the 'cool' yellow ones.

at least i kinda helped the board happen. right?

i feel like such a homer simpson right now... DOH!

Everything that I can think of that Composite Craft made was actually a composite material, and black. Outside of kits, or parts for the carpet car kits, I can't think of anything that wasn't a carbon part. And this was pre-molded composite times, too.

IIRC, I think that the A&L kit was a molded nylon, but the cool color faded with too much UV exposure. The nylon/plastic matched the tranny cases used on the A&L belt boxes, too.

Donno if anyone knows this or not, but A&L was Chis Alec and Daryl Lane. Daryl now owns Factory Works that produces some really cool dirt oval lowering kits and late model bodies, like this one:

nope... in my rc10 collect post i describe an a&l kit as a composite craft...

broken and defeated, the hoopty retires to his bedroom to softly weep in a fetal position.
