Anyone know how to change the size of pictures. Everytime I email pictures from my computor that I have downloaded from camera they are huge. Because of this I can not post them here because the file size is so large. I have just finished the resto of my old 10t racer and wanted to share with all on here and cant.

Re: pictures
I use paint shop pro, however sometimes the software provided with your camera to transfer the images to your PC has the capability to carry out simple manipulation like resizing. I'm sure some of the operating systems (Vista?) have simple photo editing software included. You could also try reducing the cameras shooting resolution to somewhere near 800 X 600 pix for the shots you know you are going to Email or post in a thread, this may be the easiest and cheapest solution for you.
Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

Had the same problem civilguy suggested photobucket and man its sweet. Just sign up for free and it does all the work for you. The pictures stay perfect quality and post at a very low kb rate.

+1 here...another thing about photobucket is that you have a 'record' of what you own. Say for insurance purposes...don't wanna go any further and jinx anyone...reign79 wrote:Had the same problem civilguy suggested photobucket and man its sweet. Re: pictures
Generally windows will offer you resizing if you chose to email the pictures from the file manager or whatever they call it these days. Just email them to yourself, or grab them from the message before sending. I generally just do that even on tubes that have Adobe Photoshop loaded, which will do it of course but seems like overkill.

Re: pictures
Does the program you use to down load them on your computer have a edit button ? if so just click that and there should be a resize option, click on that and then change the value to 600x400 or 640x480, that's how I do it .greazy wrote:Anyone know how to change the size of pictures. Re: pictures
Go to http://www.download.com then in the search section type "Free Picture Resize starter" download it onto your computer. On the opening page on the left it says original size under width type in 650 (this seems an ideal size) click resize...then save the picture. Too easy....

Re: pictures
Easiest thing I have found for attaching files to show up.
Microsoft Paint.
-Open the picture in Paint
-Once the picture appears in paint, -look at the top menu bar and select [IMAGE]
-From the Drop Down choose Stretch/Skew
-Change the size from 100 to 20-30
-When the new size appears, re-name and save the file.
Makes attaching files a whole lot simpler.

Re: pictures
Momo nailed it. Pull the file from wherever (phone, camera, internet), open with paint, stretch it down (less than 100%), and then 'save as'. also gives you the option of changing BMP files to JPEG at the same time.
