I guess it also comes down to trying to nit-pick the question to see what he's really asking.
If it's relative to bending turnbuckles and/or trying to find something bulletproof - lunsford has led very few astray.
If it's relative to breaking ballcups, as long as they're maintained and replaced from time to time (anything plastic/nylon used in a high-stress situation can break or weaken over time) you shouldn't have any issues.

that's really gonna depend on your build.Jason Pelletier wrote:what length turnbuckle ?
i usually put my cars together with old tierods or threaded rod with used ballcups (the style i plan to use). then, i'll either measure them to see what length i'll need, or take the car to the lhs and match them up.

Nevermind i'll figure it out myself.
I think tc3 turnbuckles with jc cups will be the best ticket.

Re: Let's talk turnbuckles.
honestly i think the RPM cups get sloppy after only a few runs. the jconcepts ones are better..
lately i like the Kyosho RB5 cups and balls. they are large and oversized.. They make 2 types of cups, in a softer and a harder plastic compound for the cups.. ive seen pro guys running the "softer" plastic ones.. so im not sure what the real difference is.
kyoshoamerica.com sells them and they ship quick usually. i have them on my ultima build
as far as turnbuckles... in titanium, i think lunsford is the only game in town now lol

Re: Let's talk turnbuckles.
I have found that when using the Lunsford Super Duty Plus 3.5mm titanium turnbuckles with the rpm grey heavy duty ballcups, that the rpm grey ballcups fit the Lunsford broached ballstuds sloppily from the get-go...I had to use the included grey ballcups from Lunsford for a decent fit.mikedealer wrote:honestly i think the RPM cups get sloppy after only a few runs. the jconcepts ones are better...<snip>...as far as turnbuckles... in titanium, i think lunsford is the only game in town now lol
I'm not sure whom else makes ballcups for a thicker turnbuckle...
