Re: Vintage AE Team / Worlds build thread

I finally set some time aside to do some more work on this build. I passed on the B2 style turnbuckles and stuck with the same style used for the earlier Team/Worlds. AE Ball studs are all the later stainless variant. I wanted to keep my Worlds shock kit intact for another project, so I sourced colo...

Re: Who made the "off road stock" motor?

The first iteration was a Yokomo "dry mag", and in 1988 they switched to the Yokomo "wet mag" when it became available.

Re: (1986-2005) RC Car Action Archives

I've tried all the links in this thread...the issues on internet archive I have on PDF, I have a lot of paper issues, but I'm missing from 1989 to 1994. Has anyone got a working pdf link for these issues? Thanks! It appears the link I posted back in Sept. finally threw the ghost. A lot of us have t...

Michael's has raised their price $75 (or more) over the past week. No longer a good deal.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

I remember AE stating they would not be offering CC parts separately. I assumed they meant "clear" parts since chassis, nose, motor plates, tires (maybe something else) were offered up. I wonder if they have changed their stance with the 40th gold pan kit.

Hopefully the chassis aren't warped like the ones AE unloaded on eBay last year without mentioning they were blems.

Re: QUICK QUESTION

Appreciate the responses guys. Unfortunately its too late. The auction ended just after the first response. At least now I know for next time. Stealth trans are posted up often. The key is finding a complete one in good condition for less than $100. Your 6 gear will handle brushless and 2S if you h...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I found a new 19D a few years ago, then this 19S popped up last week. These early 1990’s motors with ceramic shafts are really cool.

Since you stated you are going "true to one direction...vintage" I figured you would want to know those Conklin aluminum outdrives are not vintage.

Re: B3 spares

6459 & 6460 are plentiful on eBay. The unobtanium versions are on there as well. I'd look for RPM steering blocks and get a few sets of AE ball cups if you're going to run it. I broke a rear suspension mount when I clipped the pipe barrier one time.
