Re: Is the reedy radon horrible?
I would assume it's a 17 Turn, the Radon was/is the el cheapo AE RTR motor. Pretty much a Traxxas Stinger, Titan 12T, HPI Firebolt, random Dynamite 20 Turn or any Tamiya Stock motor. They are "ok" to goof around but as soon as you subject them to running on grass or long run times, they te...

Re: Good 30mm fan for cheap?
Prices range all over the place. You can buy pretty cheap ones on eBay, 6000 RPM with sleeve bearings that will probably work just fine, for a couple dollars. Or you can go crazy and get a 14000 RPM fan with dual ball bearings, tach lead and a standard connector for a dollar or two more. I would jus...

Re: Fantom purple aluminum rear bulkhead?
I'm pretty sure that the Bulkhead and the Transmission Brace are both Fantom parts. I picked up this 'Fantom' alloy rear bulkhead recently. http://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=83509&mode=view Just a shame its purple not blue! :| http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=371960#p371955 BAA...

Re: Mutli car set up
For personal use, one Transmitter and multiple receivers. Swapping electronics is a hassle especially since I don't use the same setups in every vehicle. For stuff that other people may drive, I have piles of Traxxas TQ radios. Most are older FM that tend to come in parts lots, although now the tren...

Re: Are there two versions of the xxxt-cr?
There is the 4109 which is the XL Chassis and the XL Battery strap 4170. Then there is the 4107 chassis which I think is a little shorter, that uses the 4117 strap. They are both EA3 material, I have seen them with big EA3 markings on them and I've seen them with no markings at all.

Re: Are there two versions of the xxxt-cr?
There were a few different chassis and straps. You had the Sport, CR, MF1, MF2 and maybe a couple others. There is at least 4 battery straps and 3 chassis I know of offhand, plus the optional ones.

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T
Question 1) The diff. I'd like to set the diff up properly. I think I have all the parts I need, except the ball bearings and the lube. I'm also missing a hydra drive. Here is the question, besides the balls and lube, any other parts that need to be replaced as new? How necessary is the hydra drive...

Re: Worlds Build #2 Version 2014
Any idea who makes that 8/32 blue locknut in the same pic holding down the rear suspension mount? Trinity? Actually looks like a plain old Team Associated aluminum, blue anodized 8/32 lock nut. Maybe the low profile version. https://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/3438-ASC3438-locknuts_8-32_bl...

Re: Gil Losi Jr. NSX video memories?
If you want, send it to me and I can pull the video off VHS and turn it into a video file. MP4, AVI or whatever. I actually have a VCR on my desk connected to an Analog to Digital interface for yanking video off old tapes and whatnot.

Re: trinity motor display
That is pretty neat. Every time I see that seller on eBay come up in a post, I always wonder why I don't know exactly who that person is, since they live in the same town as I do here in NJ. You see, Califon NJ is a tiny town that still has a general store with wooden floors and more deer than peop...

Re: XX/ XXT upper brace
While I am looking for that XXT CR Body I know I have somewhere, I'll keep an eye out for the upper brace.
Does it have to be new? I am sure I have some gently abused ones in a box somewhere.

Sounds like the Victor was America's answer to Lucas Industries aka "Lucas, the Prince of Darkness."
