I like your choice of motor.
I kept 2 or 3 in my rotation of motors from mid 80's thru mid 90's.
I had better luck with the earlier 1985 version over the later version of the silver labeled 1987 Monster Horsepower stock motors.

Will let the shocks dry for a day, and assemble them tomorrow. Came out better than expected. The Reedy sticker was peeling up in the wrong spot, so I repainted the motor too.

At first sight it looks like a score... But no, it's definitely not. Those wheels were accumulated with the different chassis and cars I got among this project (and that doesn't even include the first Big Bear which had modified...

Sometimes I really question my purchase decisions after they arrive….but whatever, RC makes me happy as does restoring old vehicles from BITD, bought this pile of bits literally for one piece (RC10GT related….can you spot it? lol)

Here is a no stamp chassis…slightly thicker @ 1.67mm.

Lundsford retro turnbuckles are the same I think or close enough to. I bought the ones for my truck from DMS racing in the UK as they were all I could find after Lunsford shut up shop.

Failing that you could try GP3D in Australia as they are making...

Wonder if you could spray the sidewalls with clear plasti-dip to get the lettering to last a little longer...

I could see swapping wheels and bodies just for fun... Kyosho wheels, stock style dune buggy... dropped with a different Beetle...

While back from Montluçon, I reshuffle some boxes in the work area... And found some ball bearings allowing me to resume work on the 44B Hilux... I reopen the gearbox and replaced the rollers bushings by ball bearings...

Then I started to work out...

When we first moved in, I had a whole plan to build a track in another area of the yard that's a little bigger. I just never had the gumption to get it going. :?

I've installed the electronics this afternoon so it's a runner now.

I have the body cut and fitted so I just need to mask and apply paint. Still waiting for...

Looks pretty close. My Mom loves her new little RC '67 vette, but has to learn to drive on this little slower Bus first. Working up to the faster one.

The white hood stinger decal should be here next week sometime, from MCI, I'll get the pics...
