Re: The fall of old Tekin...
I definitely went to Performance and K&M around that time occasionally. My local track was Mammoth RC in Pasadena, it later became J's Action RC. That's where I met Frosty. We mostly raced nitro cars together, electric sometimes as well.

Re: RC10 CE restoration
Just did a quick search on ebay and all of those parts are available, but very limited quantity. As in one or two each. And FYI, the 6584 part no. pulls up the outer torque hub as well as ceramic diff balls. AE recycled old numbers.

Re: HPI RS4MT ready to hit the track ...
Nice. I have one I'm stockpiling parts for to rebuild at some point. Who's steering setup is that? Everything I search for is for the Nitro MT.

Re: Buggy and truck chassis the same?
Yes they are the same for the most part. Early models will not have holes drilled for the stealth transmission, A stamp. B and C stamp will be drilled for it. There are some other small changes with battery tray screw holes but overall the truck and buggy parts will interchange.

Re: Digging Two Decades Deep Into The Storage Unit - Compatibility Question
A battery is a battery to an esc. As long as you stay within the voltage limit a LIPO will work fine. However you will need to install a cutoff meter between the battery and the esc to avoid damaging the battery. You will also need a charger that can handle Lipo charging also. As for the motor, a ne...

Re: Trans gears
What kind of car? I assume you mean a gear diff? Did he use a left-handed wrench to do this also?

Re: Digging Two Decades Deep Into The Storage Unit - Compatibility Question
You will be fine using the esc lead. No need for a receiver battery.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Hi. I’ve been offered this partially built RC10T Team Truck, along with a bunch of parts. The graphite chassis I believe is for a JRX Pro. Any compatibility with the RC10 stuff? Can anyone ID the rims? Are they compatible with the RC10? What size tires would they take? Any help welcome. Thanks. The...

Re: Fixing up the Frankentruck
Have a look up for Thunder Tiger Phoenix ST/AT-10 as they are basically T3/B3 "copies" from when Thunder Tiger bought Team Associated, parts should be much cheaper.... The 2.40 diff makes things fun as it was a fairly short run. Ie a quick search came up with this... which is only one sid...

Re: Original stealth slipper: 6594 + 6587 modern replacement?
HPI used what appeared to be a stealth slipper on the RS4 MT truck. You can still get the thrust washer set on ebay. HPI A223 is the part number.

Re: Help ID this GT
Black tub "sport kit" GT. Bottom of the line for the time. Looks to be in decent shape. That battery placement is...unique.
