This is a tribute to the great line of RC10 buggies produced since 1984-2009 (RC10 - RC10B4). This is a work in progress. It will take some time and help from fellow members, as we all learn new things about the different versions. So please be...

Question I haven't found a firm answer for... it seems some RC10's have much whiter Nylon than others. I'm not talking about dirt or oxidation/aging etc.. just simply as they came some cars had much whiter nylon. I know this because I was fortunate...
At that time wheel offsets were pretty small. So to increase the suspension length you needed to stretch the arm and get the added length wherever you could. That meant putting the inner mount closer inboard.
Curtis and I have been emailing back and forth quite a bit thanks to Gene for getting our emails to each other, after messaging Gene.
During this time we spoke about the development of the RC10 cars and also regarding the wing for his Box Art car,...

It's so incredibly cool to see these cars after all of these years!
Some of you had a look to my replica of the Brian's 1993 World Winning RC10 Team Car.
Probably less knows than the car was stollen few weeks after the race, in Japan, during the Reedy Race.
Recently received this RC10 from ebay. Got it torn down and cleaned.
One of the idler gears, ASC#6613, has a couple chips out of the teeth.
Is there anyone making those for sale?

I'm guessing that comment wasn't posted by Kevin Talbot.
Actually, doing wheelies really isn't harmful. It's the sudden shock to the drive train from the tires losing then suddenly gaining grip under throttle as the car lands from a jump or...
Hi I have recently dug out my old B3 with the idea of taking up racing again and I have noticed I am missing the CVD dog bone and the relevant pins and coupling. As I am looking to race the car my intention is to try and replace the parts I need to...

I have a B3 that I need to dig out of storage, I know I have a lot of spare parts from my racing days at OCRC
Fan RC is reproducing them but they appear to be out of stock everywhere.
I know Avid makes a version but it's aluminum and I'd prefer a steel shaft and gear.
Anyone else making these?

There could be some inexpensive gearboxes that periodically pop up. That shaft and the slipper assembly are in:

I acquired a new build buggy from mikea96 several years ago. I was very pleased with his vision, but the purist in me decided to strip it down and make it an AE parts car only. The pic below shows some of the original parts that were sourced. Neon...

I finally set some time aside to do some more work on this build. I passed on the B2 style turnbuckles and stuck with the same style used for the earlier Team/Worlds. AE Ball studs are all the later stainless variant. I wanted to keep my Worlds...
The motor with a blue and chrome label that came with the original RC10.
There are no markings on the can or end bell and no reference to Reedy.
Was it made by Yokomo :?:

Back at the work bench after a hiatus while building a house and then messing around with HO slot cars over the past few years. I started to restore this TQ10 several years ago but never got past tear down. I did collect a few NIB parts back then,...

I once had a TBG body go missing for months.
He ended up refunding my money. He was having trouble getting materials at the time, so it was about three months before I was able to reorder. Then, both showed up the same week.

Total newbie here. RC10 brain trust: What are the go-to tires (and maybe replacement wheels) for neighborhood bashers? I’ll be running the 40th re-re as I would have 35 years ago in a mixed urban environment (parks, ball field, streets, curb...

EDIT: I've decided to go with B1M as the official name for this car/kit. Yes, I had an earlier MM car that was a one-off that I called the B1M, but just think of that one as a very early prototype for this one

Anyone no the difference between the 10t vs rc10 rpm enhanced steering kits?

Here's a picture of the 2 kits. As mentioned already, the difference is the length of the arms. The second picture tries to show that difference as best as I could.
I am working on getting a short-arm RC10 going again and I need tie-rods. Where are you getting yours? I can't seem to find anything that is not ridiculously over priced.

They are cheap and have a pretty cool retro vibe.

Hi!
I'am building an brand new RC10 World's from old and new parts. Last part missing is the ASC7377 - Rear Axle Bearing Spacer. I can't find it anywhere. I know I could buy a B4, or T4, that used this part, but I hope RC10 Talk community could help...

I like the low slung sawed off look of that body, great candidate for this build……
I’d say to figure out a paint scheme that shows off the lay down front shocks maybe either clear or trans candy. It would be a shame to cover them up.
I swear I searched and couldn't find it. I know there's a thread that shows how to convert a B4 to 12mm hexes up front using non-Associated (easy to find) parts but I can't find it. I had it saved on my last phone but it died 😔

What are the most common sizes used on pre-B5 era Associated buggies?
.05
1/16
3/32
5/64
Was 5/64 used a lot? I don't remember. I vaguely remember 3/32 being the most common size for most fasteners on the B4.
Last post
5/64 isnt used for anything really but the stealth diff screw- however it works great as a 2.0mm driver for metric screws. Also a lot of pinions these days are metric, so a 1.5mm is handy. You will want a 2.5mm for the motor screws. For the 6 gear...

The overall chassis dimensions were close enough that it seemed like 'a good idea' to move a 6 gear RC10 buggy from a heavily used A stamp chassis to a new RC10B6 91650 chassis. My standards for close enough are low though.

JC has molded the conversion box I created that uses a B6 ball or gear diff and a DR10/SR10/RB10 slipper. This case will allow the buyer to bolt it right into any RC10 as it has both stealth and 6 gear holes, and will fit either trans brace. Keep an...

Hi all, putting together a B3 and wanted to see some shock ideas. Im really happy with the 12mm shocks on my updated c tub. Has anyone went this direction with their b3s?Becuase I dont have any shocks, Im leaning toward 12mm. Your thoughts......
