This is a tribute to the great line of RC10 buggies produced since 1984-2009 (RC10 - RC10B4). This is a work in progress. It will take some time and help from fellow members, as we all learn new things about the different versions. So please be...

Question I haven't found a firm answer for... it seems some RC10's have much whiter Nylon than others. I'm not talking about dirt or oxidation/aging etc.. just simply as they came some cars had much whiter nylon. I know this because I was fortunate...
Just arrived. Nicer than I even hoped. I'm chasing a childhood want that I never got then. 8) Got a few others on the way to make runners out of. I'm scared to even take this one apart

This has to be the build that inspired AE for the hue of the re-re World's ballcups.
New guy here and excited to get back into RC with my kids. I’m in my 40’s so these buggies were my first love. I’d watch my neighbor for hours jumping his RC10 on the sidewalk. My parents got me a first gen Ultima. Loved it. Lol....

I found some of the extra parts that came with the car. The round indentations behind the Tekin is a dead giveaway.
Best things I see are the ESC and cover. Motors look beat.
So I got my dad’s old rc10 and it has a body spoiler on it but I was just looking at old pics and never see anyone have one of these is this something factory you could buy or was this a custom part my dad made?

Rear black chassis protector looks homemade.
I'm not a hundred percent sure how and where this is going to end up in the end, but i will give it a try.
I had another thread on here on prel. investigation.
I will give it a try. This is going to be a slow one and i will use the Postmans...

Was there ever an update on this car running carpet?
I went to visit the Pargu store in South Korea earlier this year, and while perusing his shop came across his last gold aluminum rims for the vintage RC10. It must have been in storage for many years. These are the 1.7 rear and 1.9 fronts (I think...

I tried a set of those tires on some JConcepts Detonator wheels, but the sidewalls rubbed on the carriers. They may have cleared truck carriers but I never got around to trying.
Picked up some Rc stuff that had been sitting for 30 years or longer and this has a few upgrades including this graphite tub chasis with nose piece as 1 unit. It came with cadillac box and is a stamp. Had the short arms, original steering and...

That Revolution motor looks like a nice score too. That graphite chassis buggy is terrible. Who'd want to keep that? 😁
Per a suggestion on this forum I purchased some Jconcepts mono 2.2 rear wheels (JCO3404W), and some Jconcepts JCO3403W rear wheels. Both are pictured. Neither fit out of the box. I realized that I need the 3/16x3/8 bearing for the front, my original...

What I've done instead of buying a whole set of 3/16 CVDs is just swap out the 1/4 axle with a 3/16 and reuse the rest of the 1/4 cvd parts.
These MMS cars were quite a thing over in the UK, and having come across a few now, and having seen them in period UK racing mags being used by top drivers such as Jason Varley I always keep an eye out for them. A couple of months ago an online RC...

I actually cross-checked mine against a complete RC10 nose piece i have here and the angle is pretty much spot on. Considering how good Jamie was i bet he barely crashed with that car... although the whopping bumper added leverage i suppose!
I rently found my 1998 RC10B3 which i owned from new aged 16. My friends dad picked it up for my from the States late 98 i think along with a Trinity Epic motor with RPM guards (i think?)
I seem to remember work meant i gave up racing it...

Definitely keep it, we all have cars we regret selling!
I am currently playing about with a very lightened MMS car, and have stumbled across a really thick, ribbed gear cover I have not seen previously. It came with a rare Demon Dart bodyshell and one person (Jamie Booth) has suggested he thinks this...

Latest update comes from Ian Diboll who informed me that Nick Adams did indeed have a gear cover made through his contacts at WASP Racing. Still not got 100% confirmation that this is the one however.
I have a nose plate that is in pretty good shape. Typical arc scratches from the steering bellcrank and the front has a bit of a wave to it. How are you guys bending it back into the correct position without leaving marks or making things...

With a whole bunch of parts laying around waiting to be used, it seems like its time to start a buggy project. The community build got me interested again in a trailing arm setup. I have a spare B3/T3 transmission that might be just right. I''d like...

Amazing build, let us know how it drives. I was thinking of building something similar.
So my aunt was throwing out a ton of boxes of old stuff. I was helping her move it out for trash day. It seems that my uncle was into RC stuff 30ish years ago. I took home about 6 boxes of stuff for planes, boats and cars. Found a complete gold pan...

Ok, it does work, but the range is only about 25-30 feet. And sometimes, even within that it will pause, then start again turning full right.

Picked this up ftom fletch the other day. Not exactly sure if it will become anything more than a tear down, clean up and put back together. But we'll see. I like starting out with cars like this to see how nice they are under the dirt. :)...

I realized tonight that I did actually move this build along since the last chassis pics. Turnbuckles and ball cups are on. I also had a pair of AE universals chrome plated and installed. Oh, and the nose tubes.
This came with my RC10 DS kit just as Associated was moving on to the RC10B2.
They were still selling the RC10 C.E. as the best value in American made cars interestingly.

was the RPM conversion kit / ultra molded chassis the only one that used the narrow width truck style nose / nose plate out of the box? Was there also an AE Version that used this, or are those after market changes?
Thanks,

It's aftermarket. Andy's had one too that was called the Pro Race .
Some AE drivers not racing a Stealth car at the 91 Worlds used a prototype/pre-production version of the RPM 7077 Worlds front end kit on their RC10's.
This car came about as when i bought the Futaba sticker sheet for the 'power under pressure ' sticker (see roof) for my Yokomo project i received two so needed another project  Anyways here it is never...

Love it! When I built my replica, I came to appreciate all the details it takes to get it right.
Did you have the shock caps hard anodized? That was one part that I had to approximate, olive drab tamiya paint was the closest I could get.
I tried searching and came up short, since its a slow night, I thought would bring a question up that has been nesting at the back of my mind for some time  The early Edinger manuals were white covered, but...were there any yellow covered...

Hi there
I only have a camera are there any pages you want to see in particular?
I finally got my hands on a rc10, never had one before. It was missing a few parts that I will start tracking down, but regardless I'm very stoked about getting it cleaned up and in shape.

I knew that they were out there, but bottom load 1.02's aren't very common. By the time they were in common use (10T), they were top load.
I have been getting my 100* 8-32 1/2 screws from Fastener Express ever since I got back into the hobby, and I feel like each time I order, the quality of the anodizing / dyeing gets worse and worse. The bag of 50 I got today are simply terrible! I...

$1 for each screw?
Is that expensive?
Quick reference, CRC is wanting $1/per for the red anodizing, so for darn correct green, $1/per is on par.
lefthander-rc.com also has red and blue anodized (6) for $5. I have some of the red ones on order...

I've tried numerous O rings when rebuilding my original gold shocks; Traxxas, Yokomo and some other brands which I've forgotten. All I get is stiction.
Do the 5407 O rings work with the original shocks?

Common 006 silicone o rings fit fine, same as nearly everyone uses.
The problem with bottom load shocks is keeping everything aligned. They take some fiddling around to get smooth operation.

So this was actually the original tub for B1.5 #5. That car became a mid motor carpet racer using a different tub. So this one has been laying around for a little while. I had started to mess around with a little while ago, but for the most part it...

These B1.5 are so cool!
The rear shock tower is your own design but what is the rear body mount from?
The tower is already drilled for a 10t style body mount. That wasn't gonna work this time, so jwscab made one for it out
of square 1/4 nylon.
My friend is moving and he asked me if I wanted his old b3s. Hell yea I wanted them! It’s only been like 15 years since I last played with my long lost b4 (RIP, you were in near perfect condition  ). I barely had enough to even finish a kit...

Would the 0 degree setup allow for Traxxas bandit arms on a classic rc10?

RC10 rear mounts are a good bit wider than Traxxas...
I picked up this gold pan earlier in the year. I got some old school proline wheels with it and the tires are wearing out quickly. I need to find a commonly available tire/wheel combo for dirt. Which wheels/tires do you all run for playing around?

Also, there is a decent chance that there are tires available that will fit your current wheels. With all the re-re's on the market, I suspect that something is usable.
You'd just need to get your old tires off and get some measurements. I like...
It was exciting to finally get my first Edinger RC10. To top it off it was in mint condition. Luckily, I was the only bidder and won the auction paying 500,000 yen in 2019. This originally sold for 34,500 yen in the 1980s or 345 USD at the time. The...

He had some clear Pro Arrow and Renegade bodies listed a while back.
