i will agree with lostwages....without proper care, NIMH batteries will take a dump on ya. I had $80 packs that I cared for like they were my children that took a crap on me after 10-20 cycles.

Noticed these Dynamite Tazers while looking through a new catalog. No idea if they are any good, but fairly cheap and have a 1 year warranty I believe.
It can run 2s, but not 3s. That's just under 100,000 RPMs. You may have to take your car to the salt flats in Utah to have enough room for that kinda speed. I can't wait to destroy a car with it! :D

In my experience (and I've had at least 15 lipo packs now). Good quality 2S packs rarely go out of balance, cheaper ones can drift and old packs even more so. Anything above 2S I would never charge without balancing.

Personal transponders (low profile and red in colour generally) do have the three tags - so that is what is confusing you.
Most loaner transponders from raceways and clubs look like the dummy ones shown on the losi above (albeit in red plastic)....

Here's my thought. How much is the ESC? Put in a couple exra bucks and you can get a used Cyclone or GT7 off of ePay. These ESC's can take any motor.
Lower end ESC's suffer from slow acceleration and if you do run them with a 15T, they will heat up...

Well, it just so happens, I have several Brand New MSCs I dont/wont use, and only a couple extra ESCs. So, I believe I will be hooking up one of the MSCs for my Lathe.
Although I have several ruined Stick Packs that probably have 1 or 2 good cells...
