Found this on a local auction site. Car is in very good condition even has the box. I can't see any brand name other than Wavehunter on the radio unit.

I really dig these old caged buggies..

In the US, that was sold under the monogram brand. The lightning and another model used the same chassis...the only difference is the body.

Parts are still avilable via ebay.

I saw one of those in a magazine ad for a hobby shop in San Francisco, but it was called a Pork Missler there...

Wow it has a 540 motor and runs 7.5 volts!You would think it would be too fast for the handling characteristics,especialy with the mono shock rear.Does it take C size cells?Its actually not a bad looking buggy.
