Are some Ultima arm and pins different?

Post by m_vice »

Question for the Kyosho knowledge people. :)

Anyone knows if the hinge pins on the Ultima, Turbo Ultima or even Ultima pro are different in diameter?
The reason I ask is because I replaced the arms of my Turbo Ultima with new ones and now I notice they have a lot of play and it is because my T Ultima pins are smaller that the holes on the arms  .

The new arm i got are the UM-13 and I am using the original pins from my Turbo Ultima.

thanks.

Maybe the original pins have worn down? I'm pretty sure the original Ultima and Turbo Ultima use the same suspension arms.

I would also check the bulkheads to make sure that those aren't worn down.

sometimes they are tight and sometimes they are loose. better to shim the play then having them too tight i think. the pins are all the same. no matter which ultima.
2nd place is just the 1st loser
