1/8 Tamiya question

Post by Tadracket »

OK Tammies, how did I do? What I am looking for is a car that is fun to play with, cheap, and I can still get parts for it. I will clean it up and post more pics when it arrives.

I saw that this morning and thought it was a pretty good deal. My only concern would be parts replacement.

I'm finding a few but not a bunch. Once I get my slide table set up, parts replacement should not be a problem. If I break it, I build a new one.

Too bad it was "too much trouble" to ship the original box...

Those were pretty cool for the short time that they were available. 8)

I got my tgx the other day. It turns out to be a really nice car. The chassis has one, may two noticeable scratches on it. The shaft is not Carbon but it is the reinforced hop up. It also has the upgraded break disk, break arm, rear aluminum uprights and the hop up options ball differentials. The head is hop up also. I am very pleased with this car. All I need now are some universals, aluminum arms, and maybe an OS .18 or something like that.

What is the bene/disad of having a one way bearing up front?

Most use a one way on high traction tracks. the front wheels will pull the car through the corner but in normal use it makes it so you only have rear brakes and the rear end easily breaks loose.

It dot dawn on me that you would lose front breaks. That could be fun but I think I will leave it alone. I will only be bashing this car in parking lots and on my street.

Thanks Sho.
