I'm looking to get a brushless motor setup, I'd like to have a decent amount of power, but nothing to overwhelm my car (stealth transmission gold pan, with B4 slipper assembly). I've picked out a few parts that would seem to work...
I'm trying to figure out a motor combo to run in a Clodbuster at next year's vintage nationals. All the classes require 27T motors. I don't know of any adjustable timing or zero degree 27T motors. I was thinking of trying a pair of Sport Tuned...

I asked him and he just said that he wired one for reverse rotation and didn't do anything about the timing.
Thanks for the tip Temple, I gotta keep an eye out for those motors.
Why would / could one choose one over the other?
Im I correct in understanding that the rpm output would be the same?
Difference in torque maybe?
One is cheaper than the other?...

My understanding was that efficiency is better with higher voltage battery and lower KV motor given an otherwise equal theoretical performance , I'm sure that's how it was explained to me , something like higher voltage = lower amperage and lower...
This was in a box of parts i got. Decided to try it out and its almost 2x as fast as any of the older motors i have. And not just top end speed, it will spin the tires at half throttle. Anyone have any info on it? Besides where it was made. also...
Anyone seen one of these? It from an Ultima that was raced be for my dad bought it about 20 years ago. I cannot find ANY information on it. It says Trinity on the plastic.
the Ultima was raced on some level before my dad got it. It has thin brushes.

I know this thread is 6 years old, but I just bought this exact motor from the OP. Thought it was pretty cool.
So I took my dads old RC10 Classic that he smashed into a pole when he was carpet racing years and years ago and rebuilt the front end. I didn't do much if any work with the transmission and motor other than make sure the transmission still spun...

If he had it set up for carpet racing, and you ran in in the back yard, I'm assuming on grass, what probably happened is that you overloaded the motor since it was likely geared for low-load onroad racing. For off road, and especially for running...
