One of the selling points I remember about the X2 was exactly that, it was fully race ready. Came stock with adjustable ball diff, full bearings, was ultra lightweight, and the 5-link handling on bumpy dirt was pretty phenomenal for it's time. There was no bushing model or lower level X2 available, it was all or nothing.
Oh, Speaking of box art..... Still have this gem in my work shop, on the top shelf as it was displayed in my local hobby shop back in 'the day' .
One day I will be ready to open it. One day....
