To bring this thread back to the "B3 rear arm mount question":

I use the 3 degree toe-in and 3 degree anti-squat rear arm mounts, 'without' the washer underneath.
This gives the full 3 degrees of anti-squat.
This is the setup recommended as the "Standard Setup for the B3",
on page 3 of "The Complete Tuning Guide for the RC10B3".

BTW - my shock setup (posted above) is also the recommended "Standard Setup..."
Except for the big bore springs I'm using on the rear (the Tuning Guide does recommend silver springs for the rear).

I ran this weekend :) lets just say, my set up was just fine. After running the gold pan for so long, jumping to the B3 feels like cheating. Car is so smooth and whisper quiet. I did lead the A main for a bit until my nerves got the best of me and I beefed it a couple times. Held onto third so I could make the podium.

So, did you use the 3/3 rear arm mounts? With the washer underneath?
Looks like a bit of toe-out in the front?
Did you run the shorty pack all the way to the back? (like the pic you posted earlier)

Nice job! Mine is coming along slowly but will probably sit as a roller for awhile until my wife finds another job.

Joey,

How did you get the battery strap to work? I just picked up a B2 (thread will be coming shortly) and I couldn't get it to hook under the rear tower with my lipo. I ended up breaking it.

I ran the 3/3 with the washer, I think the toe out is a picture thing, but I will look again when I get a minute. I ran the battery forward, and 5 squares of lead in the back to make minimum weight. I used a stud in front with a thumbscrew for the battery strap, the venom packs seem to be a touch shorter than most other shorty lipos, so they dont seem to flex the battery strap as much. I run one pad up front, then a long pad laid down after the battery.

Also, for anyone curious, the Trackstar 80 amp speedo performed flawlessly. Great speedo for under $40.

Thanks Joey. I may have to get a custom strap made. I have the Trackstar 120a and love them. Did you get the programming box? Not a bad system compared to the high dollar stuff. I'd be curious to see what settings you are using for brake and throttle.

I didnt get the programming box, but need to order one. Out of the box, my son's car has reverse turned on, but mine didnt. So mine is straight out of the box onto the track :) those are my settings.

What wheels are you running? I want some 2.2" wheels for my B2 but can't find any. Will the Thunder Tiger Phoenix BX II wheels work? If so, are they plastic or nylon?

you should be able to buy the wheels from associated now. essentially the same as the worlds buggy.

Yes, the re-re wheels work fine. They are correct for the B2, they are the 'narrow' version. I do have one used set of 'real' b3 wheels. They will have some fresh tires mounted soon :)
