Yokomo fine pitch belts

Just wondering if anyone has run the fine pitch belts in there runner? I'm going to try them in my runner with a 13.5 motor.

PM stickboy007- Reinaldo has spent more time than anyone I can think of running YZ10's in vintage races.

my guess is you'd have to run a bit more tension to prevent skipping compared to the coarse belt.

Yeah I have decided to just use regular belts.

So i've been hit by the Bug....ever since i've always wanted to have one(91 works) but cannot afford. I finally have one (Thanks to Geeforce59). Now my problem, i manage to score a front Belt (ZC 653S, thanks to Pepe) and i need the ZC 658S (M2-96T...

i was advise to convert to a 3mm pitch system, but which is better? in terms of being competitive and not having to think of that very elusive fine pitch thingy.... :oops:

Got these today. The infamous fine pitch belts I'd imagine. Are these rare? Ive not come across these before. Cheers-Jason.

Eric I dont have an A&L tranny so I dont know how i may compare the two pitches. These belts have a very similar pitch to the Schumacher CAT's and Procats etc...These definately arent the 870c pitch.... :(

you might be right on schumacher using...

just curious to know, when was this 2mm drive-train being launched in the market ?? in 870c era ?? or 91'/93' works era ??

I saw Masami's 89 870c WCS was using the 2mm pitch orange belts, but of course they were custom-made. :(

Yes you heard right it finally arrived today :lol:

haven't run this in a while......need a tire truer.
this thing handles great with the narrow rear end...quiet too.

now that i look at it again i think youre right about the drive setup.

i coulda sworn i saw a funny car with a similar belt setup that was a bolink. but then maybe i just dont know what i'm talking about... :wink:

Acquired this would like some more info or paperwork thanks guys.

I would also like to find a body for this, the hack job from previous owner is :cry: luckily the rear wheels/tires are still available from TM RACING 1/12 scale 1.5”x2.75”

Has anyone seen these come up on ebay

Yokomo Early YZ10 870C Works Front belt replace ZC651:

Yokomo Later YZ10 94 Pavidis Front belt replace ZD652:

Yokomo YZ10 Rear belt replace ZC656 Pavidis Works 870C:

BTW I got one of these belts and I must say you cannot tell the belt was cut and it looks perfect in every way.
