when you get a new car do you buy all new electronics

Post by bozack »

So I have a 10.2 and a 4.1, the 10.2 has a GTB3 with a vulcan motor, think its a 7.5 the B4.1 has a XErun120 and some motor which I forget what it is, think it is a 8.5 but can't remember, both have Savox servos (1258TG) and spektrum receivers ....thinking about getting a 6.2 and wondering if I should pull my setup from one of these or just go all in and wondering what most do. Not sure how much stuff has advanced, I am not even sure I can still get a receiver that works with my Tx (Dx4S)

Thanks

Get new if you want to be able to drive all 3 cars at the drop whenever you want or sacrifice one setup temporarily. The equipment you have is plenty even for now.

I have a DX3R and can still get plenty of rx’s.

Thanks that's good to know, if I drop one it will be the B4.1 as that is the car I don't see myself driving given parts availability, at least the SC10 I can still find stuff.

I buy a handful of rx's and put one in pretty much every car except full time rollers, using the Flysky stuff so tx is <$60 and rx's are about $8 shipped
Big pile of RC10s and Ts from OG to 5s and an 18 or 3
