The Horror is True

Post by coxbros1 »

Me and "the diamond one" were talking to an RC legend the other day with some cocktails and asked him what he thought about what girls think about us running our cars....he said "what would you think if you were married and came home and they were playing with dolls? Its the same thing!" So just when i was starting to get a little comfortable running my vintage cars outside its now ruined! I am not married but chicks still drive by

I also have a drag car, two boats, a kayak, tons of fishing equipment, guns, tools, etc. And my wife knows the difference between my rc cars and toys.

When I work, I work. When I'm off, I'm finding something to enjoy doing.

Do you think that national/world champion RC racers and/or legends still "play" with RCs out in the street? Not necessarily with their kids, etc. But alone, maybe with a little wooden jump and/or just buzzing up and down the street in front of their house, goofy grin and all?

I would think that many racers of any notoriety probably work somewhere in the industry.

I sent a email to AE about some simple compatibility question, and Richard Saxton replied to it. Being that it was a fairly basic question, I didn't really expect that.

I would find it hard to believe that someone would walk away from something that they were so heavily involved in, even if they chose another path.

So, you play with RC cars? Pft, give me a break! GROW UP, will ya?

When I was a kid, I played with baseballs, basketballs and rode bicycles. Obviously, like most NORMAL guys, I left all of that behind when I became an adult.

No self-respecting adult would ever engage in such activities – bicycles and RC cars are for KIDS.

This seems like a good spot to post this link:

Seeing one of my pan cars lay waste to a 1000cc Ninja for a couple hundred feet ended the "toy" talk with most of my family and friends.

That would be great. Almost anyone that sees me "play" with the r/c's, end up with a shocked look on their face. Some have referred to them as dangerous or violent.

Nahh... cool r/c's won't deter chicks. Good one's will see you're still young at heart and like to have fun. Now if you're outside playing with marvel action figures, then you might have a bigger problem on your hands. Just can't be like dude in scr8p's video, there's no hope for that fella.
