Nose tube braces?

Long story short, I picked up a heap that had 3/4 of a truck conversion on it. It was missing the body mounts, so I picked one up from Team CRP. The problem I have is I've got an aluminum nose plate and flat carbon chassis with no way to mount nose tubes-which the CRP kit uses for the front body mount. I know I've seen some type of mount for flat chassis but for the life I me I can't recall where or who makes them. Any direction would be appreciated.

Those are very nice and would work...also very overkill for this pile

Are the nose tubes just 3/32 aluminum tube? I can't justify the cost they go for.

all you need now is a tap and dye and you can make all the extra nose tubes you need :).

Now if we could only find out the gauge of the aluminum sheet used for making the tub chassis.

Did AE ever produce 10T nose tubes drilled for both long and short wheelbase?

I have seen them to . Factory who knows ? I'll just make my own tubes . I want to run short wheel base on a RC10 with the truck front end. Thanks for the info . Dave

Would anyone be so kind as to take a measurement of the nose tubes for me? Overall length and then from the front end to the side mounting hole. either center or the edge of the hole is fine, just let me know how it was measured.

Can anyone tell me if these are 10T nose brace tubes or something else? They don't fit the standard gold pan. I have them, no idea from where, although when I was getting out of the hobby, it was right around the time the newer rc10's were being...

For those of you that have used a truck noseplate on the RC10 chassis, how did you drill new holes in the nose tubes? I have a drill press if that helps any...not very familiar with it though. :lol: :lol:

Also, I can't seem to find the drill bit...

just use a center punch, and tap it with a light hammer to leave you a dimple. Drill bit will not walk out on you then.

Hi Guys,
I needed a single nose mount tube for a future runner. I'm sure you could get one from ebay or online maybe cheaper (and with MUCH less WORK), but I wanted it now and came up with an idea. I went to walmart and found the same diameter...

Looked at my usual sources and didn’t see anything at McMaster or K&S but I’m looking for some aluminum tubing about 7/32-1/4” OD with about a 1/16” ID (needs to be under .080”)

Anyone have a source/link?

it was posted somewhere a while ago.. but i lost track..

does anyone have the part number from mcmcaster for the aluminum tube that can be cut and made to replace the wing tubes on rc10s?

i can probably find it myself with a caliper but im lazy...

The k&S tubing is the thick wall tubing. I have used it in the past for some resto porjects. Just cut to length and tap .
