Custom Optima extended lower tray?

Is the tray that extends under the rear gearbox in this picture a custom made part, or was something like this offered? I like it.

Anybody else see the irony that, if weight was such a concern, you could simply remove the plate?

I like to lower my cars. I didn't want to put shorter shocks or springs onto the car.
I made these towers instead.

Im not really happy with the front shock tower as it isn't lower enough. I will remake this at sometime.
They were all hand...

Hi all,

It's been a while... had to move house etc. blah blah blah!

Anyway, I've been fortunate enough to snag a really good Optima Mid Custom Special roller on eBay here in Australia. It'll go really well with the Turbo Scorpion that my parents...

Anyone else seen or heard that the long wheel base mid is next on the list?, apparently there was a toy fair in Japan resently with kyosho having 1 on display.

With the resurgence of the re release and exo kits there been a couple of original genuine woven carbon Mid Custom special chassis pop up on Yahoo in Japan, but even they are commanding $140USD, used but still mint condition, apart from the yellow...

Hi all, new member here. My name is Steve and i was heavily into RC in the late 80's to early 90's. Owned a few different models from Tamiya and Kyosho, but my favorites were always the Optima Mids.

I just finished an Optima Mid Custom Special...
