I really dig this song, but had literally never seen the guy that sings it. He looks exactly like I pictured him. Total creeper!

As a lifelong [okay since 13yo or so] fan of DM, I have giggled a little bit every time it has been reported that "the keyboardist for Depeche Mode passed." In it's heyday, DM was three keyboardist and a vocalist, so to say keyboardist, you have to be more specific. The band was literally three peeps on keyboards and Dave at the mic. They were English New Wave in the '80s; it was all synthesizers at that point.

As a tribute from the heart, Andrew Fletcher was a key element in an incredible band that has lasted 40+ years. DM is often set aside as a "gay" band with only 3ish songs making their way to the pop music seen, but as a heterosexual male, DM is easily in my top 3 bands of all time, and I will stand behind that proudly! From my older brother introducing me to Music for the Masses, and then me later discovering 101 as a video and album, I have always been a fan of Depeche Mode. I only saw them live once, in 1993, and it was such a great concert!

For my DM share, I will go with Halo. Not my most favorite DM song, but one that very closely transcends the DM world and outside world very well.

I was never a huge Pixies fan..........
I find this such a weird statement, and a testament that an old dog can learn new tricks, because in 1.5 years later, I have become a huge Pixies fan!

I got stuck behind a bike this morning which always reminds me of this song Brian posted a few years ago.

Listened to this while pulling out of the parking lot at work today. No apologies.

Looks like Brian is out on the road, so seems appropriate.

Hard to believe that this album came out so long ago. As I was pondering the week I've had, and refreshing my thirst in the driveway earlier, this came up on random. Has a bit of a different feel for The Offspring, whom I love. Seems relevant tonight. They have a new album out which I haven't listened to yet. On my list though.

This came up on the radio while picking up dinner at the chinese joint last week. Remember jamming out to this as a kiddo.
