Cool Lake Whippoorwill video

Post by GeneralZod »

Came across this gem while watching YouTube.

The crashes are fun to watch in slow motion. The track Marshall steps on Ralph Burch Jr. car at 23:50! Ouch!

Really cool - thanks for posting. Amazing how many times the cars landed right side up - I never have that luck

What was the reason this track closed?

They are having a memorial race for Chuck Kimbrough at the Encino Velidrome on Sept 2-3. I’m gonna try to make it. I’ve always wanted to watch some speed runs in person after seeing videos like this one as a kid.

Hey Jeff, let me know if you go.
I ran, or attempted to run a 12i back in about 1985?
Too bad I had no idea what I was doing  it was very different from 1/10 Off-Road

I was trying to twist Daryl’s sons arm into going as well. How cool would it be to get the Volvo back out for a lap or two.
