Tamiya Hornet with Good Year tires

This is my shelf display Hornet using the AMPRO adaptors for using Kyosho rims and Good Year branded tires.
My next project is to transfer the tires to an old school RC10 (I think the fronts and rears are a direct fit).

Do you eat persimmons in your family lol?

so ive been searching for some different tire styles for a couple different buggies i am making, and CONSTANTLY between internet searches and ebay searches, i keep finding GREAT 1.5 tires from tamiya and crp etc. I have a bunch of different aluminum...

Doesn't Tower charge flat rate shipping regardless of size, for like $8.99 or something similar..... if that is the case, it pretty much a wash.

After Christmas clearances were wild back in the day. Stuff being sold for a fraction of sticker just to clear out the inventory. Then the Midnight Madness sales on New Years Eve where the closer to midnight it got the lower the prices got,...

i got this hornet a while back with a few other cars i got.pretty much threw this in for free. used when i got it, and worn out too.first time i ran it , it fell apart. tie rods kept coming off,msc kept sticking. didnt have the heart to throw it out...

Hello All, I recently came across this video that featured a Tamiya Hornet that had a 4WD conversion kit. From the video it looks like it performed rather well. Does anyone know anything about this conversion kit?

What I remember about that Hornet is that pretty much the only thing Hornet about it was the body. :P

besides the sport tuned motor, does anyone have an upgraded motor recommendation? just looking to do some backyard usage with the hornet but want some more speed.

The drivetrain should take that kind of abuse from a low turn motor, the rest of the car may not like it as much

I picked up a set of the black wheels to use on a future project, but that's about all I could see myself using from this kit...
Maybe if my g/f ever wants me to build her a car I'll pick one of these up. :lol:
