G-force Genova Masami Hirosaka replica

Post by RogueIV »

So I recently made a trip to Japan and decided to pick up a Genova while I was there.

Tidy box with items logically packed

Despite the instructions being in Japanese this was a pretty easy build.

Front clip built and attached to the main chassis

The gearbox was prebuilt but I opened it up, cleaned out the Diff and filled it with 50k oil. The gears in here look like they could handle some crazy power.

Feels pretty smooth despite the aggressive gear pitch.

Chassis fully built

Sent the body out for paint but wanted to drive the car so went into the scrap pile and repurposed this old JRX2 body for some testing.

Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Dominator's Airbrushing came back to me yesterday with the painted body, based on Masami's current livery.

Things to do in the future:
-Get the correct wing painted
-Get electronics that are more accurate to what Masami uses
-Find a place to get the hop-up parts that doesn't want my first born for shipping.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.
