I'm not sure where all these little AE stickers go, is there a key somewhere that shows this?

As far as I got tonight.

If you got the two under the headlights, probably just extras to fill up extra space on the sheet.

I missed the AE's under the headlights, thanks for that, @romulus22.

Also, I just did an image search on the RC10gt boxart body, and a pic titled "Romulus22's box art RC10GT (complete 12/2/14)" came up:

I see Curtis Husting and Brian Kinwald's autograph, what's the other one?

Cliff Lett.
On the side of the box it said they were the ones responsible for designing and testing the GT. I thought it would be fitting to get all three.

Can't get any better than that, too cool.

Did you ever mount that body, and is it the same one in your pic on page 5 of this thread?

The Andy’s body I posted in your thread has never been mounted, I bought it pretty recently. The autographed body is on my box art truck.

You did an amazing job on yours, down to the correct heatsink on the head.

Got the engine back together, and shortened the servo cables for #2, put the antenna mount in. Still need to shorten the Rx pack and switch.

Will try to finish the boxart body tomorrow.

Was going through the engine install manual today.
Image

And spotted something I don't remember ever seeing, body finishing tips in the engine manual. The most interesting thing was in the top pic, they show where the fuel door is supposed to go - above the Accel sticker.

It wasn't until I saw this, that I looked at Romulus22's truck and noticed he has it also, and then saw the fuel door is on the boxart too, it's hard to see.

Was a good thing the stock tires and rims were never glued together, easier to clean this way.

Just checked Romulus22's GT thread, the tires I have look right.

Should've looked more closely at the box before cutting the wing.
Image
The left and right edges of the wing curl towards the vehicle in the boxart.

I just followed the cut lines on the wing itself, which have you trim that off.

JConcepts doesn't sell just the wing, would have to buy the body kit again for $26, to get a new wing.

Here's JConcepts boxart GT, they have the wing wrong:

Will think about this one for a bit, and finish cutting decals.

There’s tons of minor little things you’ll discover trying to make a perfect replica.

The old truck wings are molded slightly different than the new Jconcepts wing. The modern wing has that more modern kick at the top. And I’m not sure the sides are molded the same or not. I’ll do some digging and see if I have an original truck wing still to compare the two.

I think the wings changed around the T2 era, they had the moulding provisions to cut the spoiler narrower. Also from memory the spoilers didn't come with the bodies so they were a seperate item you had to purchase separately or make yourself.

Edit, I'm now convinced it's the same wing, if you look closely at the box art picture on your box you can see the two lines to cut the wing narrow.

I know my kit never came with that spoiler, I was always wondering why they showed it on the box. Thanks @RC10th for the part number: #7185 Truck Spoiler, I'll keep my eyes open.

If JConcepts is building a a vintage GT body, I would've figured they'd include the era specific spoiler. It looked as though I could've cut the boxart shape out of what was there, but I followed their lines instead. Almost certain if I had another JConcepts wing I could make the right shape out of it by leaving the ears on it and cutting them to size.

With the black bumper of the later version GT, I added the white decal, it doesn't look as good to me as the white bumper/black decal, but it's what I've got.

Regarding your post earlier about not fitting the later towers - since GT towers aren't stupid money yet you can cut the ears off the shock tower, it doesn't look quite right but will allow you to mount the body properly. Ideally you'd need a set of repro towers but cutting them will get you by.

I'm thinking I'll use magnetic mounts to put this body on, that should give me as much clearance and wiggle room as I need, and not put post holes in the body.

Something like these, and Shoegoo the magnets on the inside of the body - cleanly as possible:
