One project wrapped up, mostly . I've got some aluminum wheels for it that need 2" tires. I'm thinking a set of Schumacher T650 spikes are just the ticket. The OEM tires are just to blah.
For now, it will wear my OG Turbo Optima's shell until I can locate it at my parent's place. No risk of that happening anytime soon.
So far I'm not crazy about the Orca ESC. It seems like it has too many settings and that they limit it from giving me all the power all the time like the good old ESCs. I'll play with the settings a little more. I like that this rere chassis lets me run a shorty lipo.

My wife said that we needed to do something with the old entertainment center in the back room, so I moved it across the hallway and put it to use.
It still provides entertainment as well. It has an Orb Audio Mini T amplifier with a Bluetooth adapter, powering a set of Klipsch bookshelf speakers (top shelves, behind the RC10's), and a 8" Sony sub.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
Been restoring mine and the Diamond One's garage over last 3 or 4th years...slow process!...used to run our mowing business and worked on full size boats and cars out of here for years....since the cost of living has gotten so high, we will never ever be able to afford any full scale stuff...ever...so we have been spending the last few years trying to get the garage into shape..today we moved all of our vintage rc stuff into the garage...it was a relief seeing it sitting in there and knowing the road to the end is near...(also there is an 18ft overhead door at other end but it is unplugged, we don't open it anymore except emergencies)

The only thing missing now is the stripper pole
I think you'll find it rises up from the floor at the press of a button..... much like the roulette wheel flips over at the bar - at the press of a button.
All that red lighting, I was thinking this might be Farmer's Bordello.... very upmarket...
Osiris is the key.

Not all today, or even this week. But I've been slowly breaking this neglected Frog back to life. Lots of paint and polishing.

Dang! That's awesome! What's are those wheels?
Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 4:56 pm
Very nicely done! The wheels are excellent!
The fronts are aluminum slot wheels, unknown brand. I polished them and put some Tamiya Supershot tires on them.
Unfortunately, I didn't have any matching rears. I noticed that RPM Revolvers didn't clash too bad with them. So I used some wide offset crawler wheels with Schumacher full spikes.

Now there's proper Competition All Terrain tires on it. Yard squirrel hunting time!

The seller even included a free gift of 4 bearings. Wow, can't wait for my tires to show up too (same as what's in the pic here).
Got a bunch of stuff now, including the RC Channel rear metal kit, SRB alloy chassis and nose. Just need the RC4wd...

since there is no rc4wd local distributor here in our place, they didnt ship here without approval, wasted a lot of good stuff from them (we need to order in a long process)
Picked this one up today. This is my brother's original RC10 from the 80's. It started life as an original A stamped gold pan, but he modified it with the long arms and longer shocks in the front along with new arms in the rear. After sitting for...

That losi definitely looks a bit sad, looks to be the bones of a pro with some randomness on it, rare to see one with a mechanical fire starter on it :)
Went to my neighbour town today to the only local hobby shop (20 min drive), just to get some UM-parts for my Hot Trick Ultima.
I've been browsing his old stock many times before, but for some reason I didn't buy anything except some Lazer, Triumph...

No, the Hot Trick's is from various sources. Mostly ebay. Alot came from Prince Steve here on the forum.
Still looking for some parts though. I wont stop until it's completed!
