They look alot like a GS product. Mainly their 1/8th scale CVD's. Now obviously they are not 1/8th scale, gut GS did produce a 1/10 scale nitro touring car. Try that. -Jeff

Thanks for the help guys. I am very confident these are the Great Vigor CVDS. I checked their website and found out they are actually 70mm. These CVDSs are for a BV-1, which is a touring car they no longer produce.

Hello All

My brushless setup us roasting my stock steel drive shafts.

If there a CVD set that I could buy that would allow me to use my stock hubs and wheels.

Please remember the wheel axles from that post are too short. You'll have binding issues, and so you'll need to find longer wheel axles to make that work. The dogbones I found are the correct length, though.

I know that I need to change the drive shaft to 3/16 if I wanna run the B2,B3 and B4's 2.2 wheels. Anyone got any idea if I can use the CVDs meant for B4 on my gold pan?
Also, can I use Tamiya tires on AE wheels? I think Tamiya's tires have got...

I've got to get to a shop and pick up the CRT wheels. If it all works, only 12.99 for 4 rear rims 8) .

i am converting the rear dogbones to cvd on a gold pan. i am changing the size of rear axle from 1/4 to 3/16 do they make a 3/16 hub to fit the old wheels. and were can i find them. also does anybody still make the old style wheels. also i have seen...

Ran it for all of 2 minutes Sunday. Seemed ok, until the pin popped out and the CVD bone fell off!
Rookie mistake, they come pre-assembled and I didn't check that the grub screw was done up tight.
Unless I can find a rebuild kit, then I'll go back...

Way back when, MIP supplied the CVD driveshafts for Associated's kits. Now they all have what Associated calls CVAs which are simply CVD joints that have swapped between the axles and shafts (not that this is news to anyone).

Now this is just speculation on my part, but I believe that Associated is making their own CVA's now to cut down on cost. I'm sure they were paying MIP for the parts at a discounted price in bulk. So I'm assuming to avoid issues with MIP's design...

Thinking about upgrading the dogbones on my b4.2rs to CVAs, the MIP kit is a little more expensive than the FT kit, but just a few bux, anyone have a compelling reason to go with one versus the other? They look about the same as far as I can tell....
