Re: 2009 Vintage On Road Nationals
we can have it at birdsboro's concrete oval. that building is always just sitting there empty when we are not using it, the gun club only uses like 3 times a year so they love it when we show up.wow brandon, that's awesome of you to volunteer your time and efforts to find a track to host the 2009 vintage onroad nats in eastern pennsylvania.

Depends on the extent of your love. The Associated 12L… line of cars have an L in the name because Junior was a huge influence on their design and development. He is credited in the manual. (don’t tell the Assoc guys, it drives them nuts. )aconsola wrote:losi lovers need not apply.
Regarding gearbox classes and ozite carpet damage, one of our local tracks that runs a "stadium" course with wood jumps, requires duct tape on the bottom of the chassis to prevent screw heads from snagging the carpet. Beauty tip: get a roll of black (or whatever) duct tape so you don’t end up with a silver strip on the bottom of your ride from the house stuff.

Gearbox class! Yes...but I have never raced on carpet. Indoor racing is ... unatural.

I am not an onroad carpet guy, but I will do almost anything to further the Vintage cause....
Beauty of this is we can do it in the dead of winter, no prob.
They just laid down new carpet about a month ago. Mostly all they run is 1/12th, and TA.
We really need to adjust the rules to include the DS! IMHO

Might be a reason to keep my Delta collection.
Nashville sounds like a good central location, too. I might be all up for that one. Too bad I already started dumping a lot of my o-road stuff already.

Re: 2009 Vintage On Road Nationals
if this race does come about, i personally would like to see a "spec" tire. or atleast a tire compound rule. i see no reason that anyone should need to go to the race with a bag/box full of different compound tires.

i doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of interest in the possibility of this race.

Re: 2009 Vintage On Road Nationals
I would definately be interested, especially in Nashville (or closer, maybe a little further), I could make that almost anytime.
Looks like I would have to get a Car that would fit a Class, but whatever. Although, since this originated in this, an Associated Based Site, and theres a good bit of talk about them, could we at least have a DS Era Class? Hell, let anyone with a Car the same Era, and Class, as the DS run.
Just more thoughts.

Re: 2009 Vintage On Road Nationals
we'd probably have to let the DS cars run. hell, if someone would reproduce ds mustang bodies, hugger would show up with like 5 of them.

Yeah, so there can be a ton of people express interest, then back out when it's time to put up.klavy69 wrote:HINT HINT.....scr8p wrote:. hell, if someone would reproduce ds mustang bodies,
