2009 Vintage Off Road Nationals !!!! -- Tentatively Schedule

Post by tecnica2001 »

Looking at the rchr.biz, (home of the VONATs) they updated their upcoming Trophy Races, and saw this... :D

September 4th, 5th, and 6th
2009 Vintage Nationals (NOT YET CONFIRMED)

I know it's way too early to confirm or set a date, but it's comforting to know that they're doing it again

Hmmm... that's Labor Day weekend. The reason I made it last year was because it was not held on Labor Day weekend. Oh how I wish that changes a week either direction.....

I've been watching on ebay, to see if I can get my hands on a cheap 4wd to drive at the VONATs or maybe even a Tamiya Bear Hawk, yummyyy  :D

Labor Day weekend is always the last big camping trip of the summer... just before my kids get back into the swing of school. It has become a tradition in my family and until my kids are old enough to hate me we'll probably continue it.

Nope! I mean yep! Here's a start, it's just the next topic down in this very forum: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=6922

Many others around the board as well.

i'd prefer it to be labor day weekend myself... it would sure be alot easier to just add an extra day to what i already get off from work.

i'd prolly race the same 2 classes, and the same 2 cars. 8)

ditto on that one...

I'll be there. I plan on bringing at least 2 buddies with me this time :D

I'm thinking 3 classes.....2wd, 4wd, and either classic or stadium truck.

Hi guys,

i'd really like to make it to next years vintage offroad nats. Do you have a location in mind, e.g. the same one again? Maybe i get a cheap transatlantic flight one year in advance :)

That's last years... there's one tentatively scheduled for Labor Day weekend 2009, same venue. I would guess same general rules-- it worked well last year-- except for maybe adding a year to the cutoff date. ;)

there better not be a year added to the cutoff date. if there is, i can already see a bunch of b2's (or should i say b3's) that'll be there. i was kind of annoying to me that using the losi xx was allowed this past event. ya, i understand it came out in '94, but it's still the same car that losi produced up until what.......'99-'00? and the b2/b3 was produced up until what.... '03-'04?

not exactly vintage in my eyes.....................
