Yes sir thats the Atlas foam, I had a hard time trying to find a mint felt gasket at the time, and snatched up one of these. I have since seen a few felts, but I like the foam either way. 8) .
I haven't seen one installed. Looks good but I wish he would make them in a closed cell foam. Its kept me away from getting his to try out. It might not look perfectly period correct but its gonna look great either way. I like a clean lookin rc10t for some reason yet and usually takes precedent over a buggy. Doesn't happen with modern day vehicles but these it does...

Nice job so far.
Thanks!

Yeah I hear what your sayin, a closed cell might be more practical, but I'll probably run this thing once after I'm done.

Heck I'll probably end up selling it to fund another project or two, IDK...but thats just what I do I guess

Hey guys,

A little more progress has been accomplished, Getting close to finishing this thing. 8)

Was able to get the rear assembly installed, Rebuilt the MIP shocks, and mounted those. I'm impressed with these shocks, they seem very smooth.

Battery box/tray is mounted.

Servo is in place, I will be mounting the rest of the electronics as soon as I get a receiver. (Had two nice looking Futabas I thought were good...But guess I was wrong :? )

Guess I'm gonna run the Novak Duster ESC, Servo is a Airtronics 94102 and Reedy Force II motor.

But I do have a couple questions?

That servo is plastic gears I take it?

Is it a good enough servo to use?

And also is the Reedy Force II a good choice? Does anyone know how many turns? (I bought it from someone here and cant remember the specs)

Truthfully I will probably only run this one or two times after it is done. But I would like no conflicts with the electronics.

Well guess that's about it for now.

Will update as time allows.

Here's a few pics:

I ran the 94102 servo in my 10T BITD and never had any problems with it. You should be good to go. That's a great looking truck too! Too nice to run IMO!

Yeah the servo came with the truck when I bought it, Looks like it wasnt used much, and seems very healthy.

Thanks for the compliment, If I do run it, It will be indoors, on carpet, and once or twice around, just to see how she feels.

Thanks Todd,

I got my receiver, so I will get the electronics installed here soon, I'm just gonna use the force II and see how it run's. I did some searching on the web, but didn't really come up with any info on the motor.

Well guys, It took some time, but I finally got the 10T done. Was a fun restoration, and makes you really appreciate the design and workman ship that went into these back in the 90's.

I ended up using the Novak Duster esc and the Reedy Force II motor, Airtronics 94102 servo, Futaba FP-R112JE RX and a Futaba Magnum Sport FP-T2PB radio. Was contemplating getting a new repo body/decals, But I just like the looks of these two original's, and the one is in very nice shape, anyhow.

I'm very happy with the final results, I kinda wished I preped the chassis a little bit better before the powered coat, as you can still see a couple of the deeper scratches near the rearend, But it is what it is.

I did run it twice around indoors on carpet over the weekend. Handles amazingly well, No jumps, sudden turns, just babied it LOL. That will be the only run's (well from me atleast) I was thinking of selling it, generate some cash for another project.

Well anyhow, here's a bunch of pic's I took of the end results.
Thanks for all the help and comments guys.
Dave

Thanks man, They are a beautiful thing arn't they. Oh yeah BTW, Love the box-art look on your 10t.

That is exactly what I was thinking of doing, if I had bought a repop body. 8)

Looks great!

That motor is a 27 turn outlaw stock with I think 36 degrees in timing! Quick little motor!

Yeah, battery box is feather light  Previous owner used to race this BITD, and tried to lighten what he could, Used natural aluminum screws in a few areas, including the screws in the rims.

Thanks for the comp's guys. 8)
