my dad passed away....

Post by longboardnj »

My Dad passed away from brain cancer 12-21-09. I know this the time of year for cheer, but I lost my Dad, who was also my best friend, riding partner, and RC buddy. It's really hurting me, and I know many of you had good advice to help me cope when my Dad was diagnosed with cancer ....any thoughts or advice for this situation would be great.

This is indeed a tough and touchy situation. The passing of a dearly loved one is not easy. The way we deal with this in my culture is that we celebrate the life of that person. Most of us have to go thru a period of moarning, disbelief and the occasional why him and why now. We hope that he is in a better place and will be watching over you and the rest of the family. I do give my deepest condolences. Be strong and remember the good times to help his memory live on.
Take care... 8)

My deepest condolences to you and your family mate.

If I can say - your father has moved on to a better place - where there is no pain, misery or anger.

It is the ones that are left behind that suffer. Please remember the good times and the lessons he taught you, those are the things that will keep him alive through you. He has shared his life experience and love with you - time to pass it on and share the man he was - as you.

All the best mate - we will be here to help you through the tough times.

Its ok to laugh, its also ok to cry.

Cheers

Darryn

@#$%y time of year for this to happen to you, but dads are always finding ways to make us stronger aren't they? Where your dad's at now, I visualize piles of rc10 nylon, all bright white, like fresh snow in sunshine!

My condolences as well. My wife's father passed away a few years ago from cancer. It's such a horrible disease. We sat with him at his house while he struggled to hang on. He went through so much pain. Although it was a tough time we know however that he is in a better place, not suffering. We have good memories of him including my being able to ask him for his daughters hand in marriage. I'm sure your father is in that better place as well. Again, I'm sorry for your loss and I will keep you in my prayers.

We lost a very dear friend less than two weeks ago, and her family has received a huge outpouring of support from every direction. It's nice to know that not only is your immediate family there for you, but even your extended cyber-family wishes you well-- and it does lift your spirits to know so many people cared about your lost loved one... and in turn care about you.
Our thoughts are with you!
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.
