Novak 4 and two wires????

Post by littlescreamers »

I just received my new Novak 4 and receiver. In looking at the esc I noticed 2 wires red in color that come from the same place as the switch. They are bare on the ends and they is a small piece of shrink tubing on one of them. Looks factory to me. I took a pic. no solder marks or anything.

Is this right and what are they for??

Thanks
Scott

The two red wires are only supposed to be making contact with eachother when running 4 cells from what I remember. For 6 & 7 cells, they should be separated.

Ya

I went over to Novak and found what they were for! Leave them alone for 4-6 cells and solder them together for 7+

Glad to see that is still unused and not messed with.

This and some other stuff is going into my roller queen. :D

Are you sure that's right? I'm pretty sure thats backwards and that connecting the red wires bypasses the BEC for 4 cell use.

BTW, if you need another one I have a NESC-4, an NESC-1x and a TEKIN PX if you need any more speedos.

+1 on what davidka said.
Years ago I started off with nothing ... and I still have most of it left.
