1 vintage body, 2 cars to fit...
Hi folks,
With the meager intrest for this japanese aftermarket body for a Tamiya Boomerang, I decided not to wait for Tadracket or Mr. Lexan to start putting out shells.
So here it is: painted and ready to mount.
Now it fits either of the below projects quite well.
The 4X4 (white wheels) looks better in my opinion, but it's a little short in the bottom and there's no way to fit a tub for this.
So I'm rather concerned on the belt drive.
The 4X2 (orange wheels) looks well also but the front shocks spoil the image somewhat IMO.
What dou you think?...
(The 'loosing' car will receive a Tamiya Desert Gator or Kyosho Triumph body.)

Perso, I like the design of the body. The colors scheme make it good looking. I would put some stickers on it, it is well known that racing decals make it goes faster.
I know Ed, you're not a decals fan....![Wink ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
I votre for booth with maybe a little + for the 4x2. The body seems to fit better.
Have fun Ed,
Cheers,
Mannekenpis.
p.s.: action pictures welcome!

I'm surprised the poll outcome is so tight.
thanks for the complimnet on the paint job.
Since I only use spray cans I usually go for some kind of degrade, but for this one I wanted sharper lines.
The color fields are a bit large indeed and need some detailing indeed.
I was thinking of adding a white or black pinstripe between the blue and fluo orange still, and probably a few horizontal text decals.
(At first I thought of using a matt dark grey paint on the outside and some yellow lines, white text etc... Make it look like a fighter plane, but then, well did you ever see a plane with wheels this large

I got the Desert Gator body today and it fitted both cars very well again. So that didn't make the choice any easier
But it looks way better on the 4x2 than the Volks Cyclone body IMO.
So the 4x4 will get to keep the Cyclone
(The paintjob went awfull wrong, but the Desert Gator body was so cheap I'll just replace it when it wears out)

nice build! sad for the paint job, but put some faster riding stickers and that should be OK for a runner, keep us posted with some pics on the track ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
