Team Car Park Driver
Hey, folks have park flyers, so why not park drivers?
Nothing super noteworthy here, just a team car to play around with. This one started a long time ago as a pretty basic platform to test the steering kit, but I ended up tearing it down and building it back up a bit nicer. Well, nicer than I'd planned, anyway.
Every once in a rare while, I'll take a solo lunch break for a brief escape from the chaos. Recently, I found this little park near one of our clients that has a couple of nice areas with dips and bumps and very short grass. As soon as it dries up, I'll have to slip off for a little RC therapy.
I always wanted to try a buggy all dressed out with the driver and lights. The body was painted and finished by eBay seller Racer8838.

Nice ride!
Which capacity/rating is the battery you're using? Did you have to do any mod to fit it?

Thats a hot little number AEIOU! I'm not a fan of the viper per se, but I'm thinking of doing one soon. (Just hard to take the price of a repop turbo mirage (my favorite RC10 body)) I've got a few ideas to make it look better than stock. I like how the scale details bring this one to life. Great job, and drive easy so as to not damage those lights!!

The batteries are advertised as 4000mah/30C. They were cheap, so if I get some good runs out of them, I'll be happy.

I moved the battery box as far forward as I could. I use a battery spacer in the bulkhead to snug things up.

I commented on another thread, but the detailing really does make the body work - I always disliked the Viper body - but that looks sweet!

Thanks. Ya, my plan is to take it easy and keep it on its wheels, but...losiXXXman wrote:Great job, and drive easy so as to not damage those lights!!

Thanks.Charlie don't surf wrote:Nice Paul!!! what's going on with those shocks?
A previous owner of this car must have used a pair of vice grips on the shocks, because the hexes and caps were a mess. Oddly enough, the rest of the shock bodies were in good shape, so I milled (sanded) them down past the gouges, popped on some plastic caps and they came out pretty nice.

Your runner is nicer than some shelf queens I've seen.
I have a soft spot for the Viper body just because thats what the RC10 was coming with when I got into the hobby.

It's an RPM shorty bumper. They still had some for sale at their online store last time I checked.vintagercfreak wrote:What better way to kill time from the norm! Who makes that blk front bumper piece you got there under the nose plate?
