Hi could you help.just picked up some wheels but the chrome is flaking off.what's the best way to restore them.many thanks guys.

Acetone will remove the remaining chrome and you should be left with smooth black wheels. It's a bit of a risk though.

Just curious on the difference of the Cat XL, XLS & Pro Cat.

I can't tell the difference looking at my Cat XL to Pro Cat as i'm sure they aren't 100% standard.

From memory the Cat XLS has chrome wheels, Sway bars & one Way. Not Sure.

gotta find white rear rims for my Slo-Hobby car ( ) , as time has come to ditch the old tires mounted on the old yellow ones... might as well buy something that looks about right ;)

What are modern, readily available, white dished rims...

yeah, but your description was that the axle was bigger so you needed a different bearing......but it's really the threaded portion that is different, and the same tweaks you need on the rear would work on the front. Agree that the 10-32 isn't...

I want to rebuild and run my old Schumacher CAT from 1986, as left for the last 30 years on a shelf.
This was one of the first kit imported in France, with short wheel base, I later convert it to an XL/XLS hybrid with long chassis, widened front...
