Re: Dig this 1:1 suspension setup
It looks like the geometry really soaks up the terrain on a straight, but one decent side hit would cause some major headaches. I'm thinking a fairly minor off-line sidewall strike would shift that rear axle enough that the rear links would be smashing into the frame and twisting like the dickens.
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Re: Dig this 1:1 suspension setup
looks like a standard 3 point rear suspension, just elongated to provide lots of travel. Shouldn't move in an unpredictable fashion as long as the lower links are triangulated.
front suspension is standard upper/lower a-arm, again elongated for suspension travel.
gee...where have we seen this type of suspension application and theory before?

It's actually a triangulated 4 link rear suspension.

Re: Dig this 1:1 suspension setup
yeah, i looked again, it is 2 upper links. initially I saw the guy tightening up something there, it looked like it had a single upper link.
so that is even better to locate the axle.
