1999 Jukka Steenari XX4 World Champ Replica
Well,
I started this project from a while, and today, be close to finish it.
Just need few things to complete it, as a Sanwa/Airtonics white servo horn, to duplicate the rear sway bar delrin mounts, a set of Genera stickers, the proper Team Losi rooth sticker (the one showned is too short) and to duplicate the cutted Team Losi side and wing stickers.
I care and spent a lot of time on the electronic equipment . I was fortunely Team Orion Factory driver at this period, so I had some sheet of immaculate battery labels and Chrome Modified motor.
The motor mount was machined by Paul Worsley in the UK, especially for Jukka and designed to fit the TOP motor can.
The shell is the first prototype shell of Hot Weather version, it didn't match the small airscoop on the motor head.
Enjoy it.
Cedric

Wow that is awesome, I have never seen a front motor buggy like this. How does it handle with the motor up there? That body is beautiful. Did you paint it yourself?

Re: 1999 Jukka Steenari XX4 World Champ Replica
Very nice job I must say.
I never knew the motor mount was a custom machined job for Jukka. I had a XX4WE and ran it with a Orion Chrome 10x2 mod motor with no issues. Was the motor plate changed in the WE or was it just machined up to provide better cooling?
I still have all my Chrome motors and love them. One best mod motors around in it's day.
Thanks for the pic's.

Just awesome job again Kenooze! It have been a while since Your last replica build, but now after seeing this, it is clear where You have spend Your time. So many little details in this car and especially the paint job is amazing.

Such a sweeeeeet build Cedric. You certainly know how to build a great XX4. One of those post vintage cars I'd really like to own and drive.

Re: 1999 Jukka Steenari XX4 World Champ Replica
you could say that again. and still competing at a worlds level, with little modifications. it's funny that the team went with the xx4 rather than the xxx4. i love it when the older rigs outshine the newer rigs.Lonestar wrote:It handles well enough to be world champ and still win major international races more than 10yrs after its initial release
