Just dug this little guy out of a buried box. Forgot all about these little things. This is the one I used to take to an old hobbytown every Friday and beat everyone who raced. Don't know what happened to the motor or lexan body I had for it.
No one even stood a chance against this car on their track. And although I had a little secret I wasn't breaking any rules as there were no rules on what batteries to use. But now that its 15+ years later I guess I can let my secret go. Those special Rayovac rechargeable batteries I used and everyone bought thinking that was the ticket. Aren't really Rayovac batteries. They were Sanyos with the Rayovac shrink wrap on them hahaha. They must have held a higher charge or my charger over charged them cause my car was in a whole other league than everyone else's. it would sometimes jump track on the crossover and that was really the only time I lost after the battery secret.
This brings back many memories finding this. Anyone else have one back in the day
I had one of those bitd, but iirc mine was a cheap knock off. Iirc i didn't even have any track for it. I was more into slot cars at the time, I don't think mine got much love. I may have felt differently about them if I had been able to actually race it.

I haven't posted the full build here as didn't want to distract from the true geniuses behind the concept of using a front Stealth gearbox to make a 4wd converted RC10. Jeff and Mini.
Anyway, I've made my own version using Optima Mid front arms,...

How is the car coming along? I was able to build up a similiar style car with a few changes to the front support for the shocks. I took it to my local track and I handled better than I could have hoped. Thank you for your posts and information. I...
Hello All, I recently came across this video that featured a Tamiya Hornet that had a 4WD conversion kit. From the video it looks like it performed rather well. Does anyone know anything about this conversion kit?
Here is the video....

Ahh that vid again...the last time I watched it, I had an epileptic seizure.
What I remember about that Hornet is that pretty much the only thing Hornet about it was the body. :P
These are some pics of my Tamiya 4WD's. Boomerang and Hot Shot are both runners. The Hot Shot is still being developed. I am in the process of makings a better steering system. My Super Shot runner is my next project. Most of my cars feature some...

Well this is another project which I have had in a shoe box for over a year and just decided to build the other day to find out what is still missing. It is made of parts I have accumulated...

How's the 4wd working? is it the same as on shodogs avatar car?
Those axles running to the front wheels (if they even are axles) look so flimsy.
The 4wd drive on this will be a chain drive though I might make it cable drive I am not sure...
Anyone can share a good scan of the MIP 4X400 4wd conversion for Tamiya SRB??
Thanks in advance :)

I have the instructions tucked away in an inaccessible box. What was posted above are the instructions which are really rudimentary. Basically you need to play around with the placement of the front tranny which allows the dog bones to set in a...
