Need some timeline help! RC10T 7001 aftermarket stuff
I am trying to see if I can pull off an era correct truck with what I currently have.....
Offset battery early chassis
A&L front and rear towers
Tecnacraft turnbuckles (not the 6-32 ended ones)
Rpm front and rear arms
Mip black 1/4" CVDs
I am pretty sure rpm was there from the beginning, but the A&L towers and titanium have me thinking they would have been later. I also can't seem to remember when CVDs came around
The towers, turnbuckles, and other parts are to be scavenged off this later 7035 truck, and made correct- like shock caps, white parts, etc. I'll find a use for the cut down chassis and other bits later

CVD's were 93', RPM stuff was 92 on. Same on the a&l towers. T&A ti bones would be correct, tecnacraft 4/40's, proline rims and tires- early plastic caps and raw AE "special" alum screws.

Damn your good
The 7001 was ~91 or so, right? I assume that offset chassis disappeared quickly from production
Thanks!

Just the hop ups off this truck, gotta source some white truck parts (someone got my good arms! Lol)
Got a lot of searching to do. I still need to go pick up those parts from you, been working crazy hours again. The weekend can't come soon enough
I have some era correct proline wheels I will probably swap over to, and look for some vintage rubber. The foams were just kicking around.

The conversion is going on this that's why I'm trying to keep it early, I think any later and people would have just bought a real race truck

Tires, tires, tires- this was the verge of soft carcass tires so the RED line of chunky Pro-lines were popular. Pro-45, Pro-40, Pro-50..and Pro 55's are all correct....and the PL rims were the first aftermarket avail as well.(since AE used their tires in kits anyway
Prob didn't hurt that it was Cliff's company- Ti Bones for the pre-cvd/universal era (header also called it the RC10 stadium truck) More to come...
RCPS had these avail right at the release (notice these say "RC10 Truck" instead of 10T)Prob didn't hurt that it was Cliff's company- Ti Bones for the pre-cvd/universal era (header also called it the RC10 stadium truck) More to come...
