is there a reference for compatible parts for jrx-xx-xxx ?
I've been wondering if there exists a list of reference for jrx-xx-xxx parts that are compatible with the different platforms. I know there probably isn't much other than the transmission, but I thought I'd ask. the thing that made me think of it was that I ran across a xxx sct conversion kit, and thought to myself "Self, it would be realllllly cool to fab up a Jrx Pro SE SCT, just so you could see the look on peoples' faces when you told them what it is "
It sounded better in my head before I typed it out though.

I built that almost 4 years ago

I never did race it, our track threw out a "no custom made chassis" rule. I still have the chassis in a box, I took the rest of the parts off and built an LXT.

Re: is there a reference for compatible parts for jrx-xx-xx
i forgot to say thanks for the link.
the only problem is, that it doesn't really show compatibility between generations. there are no specs listed, just part numbers and no way to cross-reference for specs or possible retro-fit.
I'll dig around on here some more and see what I can find.
oh, and even though I'm the new guy, and haven't been here long, I don't like Joey for beating me to the punch by four years.

I never completed it, so you still have the opportunity to be the first.

Well, it looks like I'm going to be doing it a little differently. I'm going to try an extension/brace on the rear, to move the trans/shocktower/bulkhead back.
Now to look up how to adapt shortcourse wheels to the front.

ooh, I didn't know the sc10 fronts were old school. awesome.JK Racing wrote:couple options, use XXXSCT front wheels/axles, SC10 bearing style wheels/stock axles...or my route with adapting Traxxas parts...or?
I did find out that ecx front carriers/knuckles are almost perfect also.
But I refuse to use Traxxas parts, just on principle

LOL, to the new guys, the bearing front SC10 wheels are "old school"...they went to 12mm hex front rear a little while back.
While "T" may not be a race brand, they make some stout parts. I'm not afraid to grab some and put into a frankenstein

I'm going to start a thread on this, so it has one of it's own. I think I just sold my Optima mid, so I'll be concentrating on figuring this out as my next project
